Who is the lady behind mlbb?

Hello!  My name is Jen and I am the creator of Mommy's Lil' Black Book!  I am a wife and  mother of three amazing boys who keep me extremely busy!  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from St. Joe's University and a Master's Degree in Education from La Salle University.  Before I began this site, I spent the last 14 years working with individuals with special needs; with the latter stages of my career being very near and dear to my heart as I worked as a Developmental Specialist for babies ages 0-3 in the Early Intervention Program. 
 

After having my second son, I tried my best to work my schedule around my husband's so I didn't have  to put my newborn baby in daycare but it just didn't seem to be working out well for us so I made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom.  Due to working in the social service field for so long and gaining extensive knowledge of the resources in the area, I decided to develop a website so that I could share the information with others who could benefit.   Fast forward 6 weeks to the creation of the site and voila!  We have Mommy's Lil' Black Book!! 
 

I wanted a way to be able to connect with other families and reap the benefits of interaction so I created a facebook page to operate in conjunction with my site. Best. Idea. EVER!!  The networking opportunities that have presented themselves to me through  facebook have been amazing!  I have met some truly wonderful people and am so thankful that they have chosen to follow MLBB and share  activities, events and experiences with me and my other followers in the same way that I enjoy sharing with them!  In fact, I even host some family friendly events from time to time and this has become a wonderful  way for me to meet many of the MLBB followers! I hope to see you at one of them, too!  Thank you so much for being a part of this community :)
